(With Glutathione)
Detoxify cells and support neurological functions with pc iv therapy
Phosphatidylcholine (PC for short) is an essential nutrient.
It is perhaps the most important molecule among tens of thousands of molecules that comprise a cell, accounting for nearly 50% of the cell membrane.
In fact, there isn’t one function of the body that doesn’t rely on PC.
Having adequate PC in the body is so important for our cell membranes to be healthy and for our mitochondrial membranes to be healthy.
And when cell membranes are healthy, cells are healthy, which leads to healthy tissues, healthy organs – and ultimately healthy bodies and minds.
PC IV therapy helps to restore the appropriate balance of lipids in cell membranes to maintain…
Consider this therapy a “deep cleaning” for the brain cells and mitochondria.
Detoxification – of heavy metals, pesticides, chemicals, mold/mycotoxins, and other environmental exposures.
Improved neurological functions – including mood, cognition, and movement.
Repairing the body after injury – including daily exposures to oxidation from food, chemicals, etc.
Research indicates that PC may also be helpful in repairing damage to the liver caused by alcohol, pollutants, and other toxins. PC has a protective effect on the mucosa of the intestinal wall, and acts as an anti-inflammatory.
Dr. Shippy’s PC IV therapy includes Essentials-N phosphatidylcholine plus glutathione. Essentials-N is the most purified form of phosphatidylcholine.
Glutathione is a molecule found naturally in your body – it’s made up of three amino acids; glycine, L-cysteine, and L-glutamate. Together they help to detoxify the body, neutralize free radicals, and support the immune system.
Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant known for its role in providing protection for the body’s tissues, including the arteries, brain, heart, liver, lungs, and skin.
Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is important for cell membranes and mitochondrial membranes to be healthy. The cell membrane is where virtually all the important metabolic reactions occur – making PC critical for healthy cell membrane composition and function.
Phosphatidylcholine also supports healthy choline levels and increases brain acetylcholine formation. Yet, studies show that 60-70% of people are depleted in the choline piece.
We get some choline from foods like spinach, egg yolks, beets, meat – but this is not enough for sufficient or optimal choline levels.
IV PC therapy helps to restore the appropriate balance of lipids in cell membranes.
Phosphatidylcholine is perhaps the most important essential molecule among tens of thousands of molecules that comprise a cell, accounting for nearly 50% of the cell membrane.
There isn’t one function of the body that doesn’t rely on phosphatidylcholine.
Phosphatidylcholine IV treatment is for anyone who would like to improve cellular integrity and support a deep detoxification.
Phosphatidylcholine is generally well tolerated and most everyone can benefit from PC therapy.
PC IV Therapy typically takes about one hour.
After your treatment the nurses will discuss next treatment options for you, depending on how your body responds to your first dose. Most people respond well and continue with either a PC IV or an NAD+ IV and PC Combo.
You may bring your laptop to work or enjoy a movie, or read a book while receiving your IV therapy.
Prior to getting your first full PC IV you will receive a smaller dose, or PC “push” through an IV.
A PC push is required before the full dose of PC IV to see how your body responds.
Phosphatidylcholine and glutathione support detoxification, cellular repair and brain function.
The benefits of our two most popular IVs in one visit.
PC is given first, to clean or “prime” the cells and to prepare them for maximum absorption of the NAD+. Better absorption allows for the most potential benefits.
The PC and NAD+ IV COMBO is more efficient and less expensive than doing each service separately. Read more about NAD+ here.
Treatments are administered by one of Dr. Shippy’s trained and experienced nurses in her beautiful, spa-like medical office in Austin, TX.
You’ll receive your IV infusion in one of our comfortable and relaxing zero gravity massage lounge chairs, in a small private or semi-private room.
We offer an assortment of complimentary gluten and dairy-free snacks, oxygenated water and tea selection, and cozy blankets for a truly enjoyable experience.
IV therapy delivers vital nutrients directly into the bloodstream. Bypassing the digestive system allows for 100% absorption, maximum effectiveness and minimal waste.
It is always best to come well hydrated. You may eat and drink prior to your infusion.
You may have some bruising at the injection site, or feel a “cold” sensation with any of the infusions, however this is normal.
After PC therapy some have experienced loose stools.
During NAD treatment you may feel nauseous, have a headache or feel flushed, however that can subside as we slow down the delivery of the infusion, and will dissipate when your treatment is over.
Please call our office if you are on blood thinners and you are interested in doing the PC IV, or if you’ve recently had chemotherapy treatment.
One of Dr. Shippy’s trained registered nurses will administer your IV and monitor you to ensure you are comfortable throughout the process.
Our nurses are skilled in working with difficult veins. We provide electrolytes and minerals that have a positive effect.
PC IV therapy can take 30 minutes – 1.5 hours. Vitamin shots are quick 15 minute appointments.
NAD IV Therapy can take anywhere from 2-5 hours, depending on how your body responds.
Feel free to bring your laptop or a book while receiving your IV therapy. Dr. Shippy provides an assortment of healthy snacks.
Dr. Shippy has transformed offices in her medical clinic into IV rooms, equipped with comfortable zero-gravity reclining and massaging chairs. Feel free to rest or work during your treatment.
You must be 18 years of age or older to receive treatment, unless you are an established patient of Dr. Shippy.

Did you know that several environmental toxins have been linked to cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s disease?😳
👉Here’s what research reveals:
➡️ Heavy metals (lead, mercury, aluminum, cadmium) accumulate in the brain, causing oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and neuroinflammation.
➡️ Pesticides and herbicides, such as glyphosate and organophosphates, disrupt neurotransmitter function and contribute to neurotoxicity.
➡️ Mold and mycotoxins can trigger chronic inflammation, immune dysregulation, and cognitive impairment.
➡️ Air pollution and industrial chemicals, including fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and benzene from wild fires all increase the risk of neurodegenerative diseases.
👉Environmental toxins can also silently deplete essential minerals your brain needs to function, leading to serious neurological symptoms.
Minerals like magnesium, zinc, and selenium play crucial roles in neurotransmitter function, brain detoxification, and neuroprotection.
When toxins deplete these minerals, the brain becomes more vulnerable to oxidative stress, inflammation, and degeneration.
Studies show that environmental toxins are also linked to central nervous system diseases, including:
➡️ Parkinson’s disease
➡️ Stroke

New Year’s celebrations are a time to honor the past and embrace the future with hope and excitement. As we raise our glasses, let’s make our health part of the celebration.
Before indulging in alcohol, take a moment to consider its impact on your well-being. While champagne and cocktails often take center stage on New Year’s Eve, emerging research reveals significant health risks associated with alcohol consumption—even at moderate levels.
While occasional indulgence is okay for many, alcohol consumption can have far-reaching impacts on health.
You can still fully embrace the festivities with delicious alcohol-free options.
This New Year, why not mix up a few mocktails and celebrate in a way that prioritizes your health, vitality, and long-term well-being? Cheers to a year of thriving and making mindful choices.
Wishing you a happy, healthy New Year!🎉💫

Occasional sadness is a natural part of life, but persistent low moods may signal a deeper issue.
It’s essential to work with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and explore treatment options tailored to your needs.
As a functional medicine doctor, I focus on uncovering root causes that impact mental health, such as nutrient deficiencies, gut imbalances, toxins, or inflammation.
One often-overlooked factor is exposure to toxic mold. Mold and its mycotoxins can disrupt the nervous system, create chronic inflammation, and impair neurotransmitter function, all of which can significantly affect mood, leading to anxiety, depression, or brain fog.
Natural supplements can also play a powerful role in supporting mental health and well-being. 💪
👉See the list on the slides above for some of the most widely researched options.
These supplements, when combined with a personalized approach to uncovering and addressing root causes, can often improve mood with fewer side effects than traditional treatments.🥰
By identifying and addressing what’s driving your symptoms—whether it’s mold, nutrient deficiencies, or other factors—you can restore balance, resilience, and well-being. ❤️

If holiday treats, cocktails, or indulgent meals have left you feeling off-balance, now is the perfect time to support your liver.
The liver is your body’s main detox organ, responsible for breaking down alcohol, sugar, toxins, and chemicals while managing hormone balance and immune function.
Overindulgence during the holidays can overburden the liver, making you more susceptible to colds, flu, and other illnesses.
Alcohol, in particular, suppresses white blood cell production and raises inflammation, weakening your immune defenses. 😳
Supporting your liver is key to staying healthy this time of year, especially with so much going around!💪
See images above for liver detox support tips and supplements.👆
Detoxifying your liver reduces its workload and strengthens your immune system, helping you feel healthier and more resilient.
