INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup carrots, boiled until softened or steamed
- 1 cup orange juice
- ½ cup hot water
- ¼ cup gelatin powder
Turmeric Paste:
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup turmeric powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Make the turmeric paste by combining water, turmeric, pepper cinnamon and salt together in a small pot. Bring to a simmer. Continue to cook until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and stir in oil. Set aside to cool. You will need only 2 tbsp of the turmeric paste for the recipe.
Combine orange juice, carrots and 2 tbsp turmeric paste in a blender and pulse. Add gelatin and hot water and pulse again. Pour mixture into a pot over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring so that gelatin completely dissolves. Pour into silicone molds and let set in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
