QI Laser Guided vcel
Procedure

What Is the QI Stem Cell Procedure?

Dr. Shippy is proud to offer a new regenerative IV procedure in her Austin, TX clinic.

This new technique was developed by Dr. Todd Ovokaitys, M.D. and his colleagues at John-Hopkins.

The procedure uses rare early-development cells (VSELS), derived from the person being treated.

When we inject the cells intravenously, they go everywhere in the body, head to toe for general anti-aging benefits.

laser guided intravenous delivery

This state of the art procedure amplifies the VSELS that are then concentrated and delivered back to the person from whom they were derived.

We use a special laser to activate them and then laser guide them to specific targeted areas.

For anti-aging we generally direct the VSELS to parts of the body that are slow to regenerate, such as the brain, spinal cord and the endocrine (hormonal) system. But they can also be directed to gonads or ovaries for reproductive health benefits.

And although the VCELS go everywhere, they tend to go more to the parts of the body where there is an inflammatory process. The VSELS will have an augmented (increased) effect on the places where the laser signal directs them.

The QI laser technology has been researched for the past twenty years.

Within this time, the QI laser guided procedure has evolved with protocols for treatment areas that include but aren’t limited to:

  • the heart
  • acute injury sites
  • the brain
  • the thyroid
  • the adrenals
  • general anti aging and more

What is QI?

QI means life force energy in Eastern medicine. QI also refers to the QI laser that is used in the procedure that uses “quantum information” to enhance the biological action of the molecules in the body.

The unique waveform produced by the laser technology produces impulses at extremely rapid rates. As molecules vibrate and rotate as quickly as 10 femtoseconds, this technology can produce rates as fast as molecules move and thereby intentionally entrain further specific motion.

The unique waveform produced by the laser allows for deeper penetration through tissue than ordinary lasers and for powerful interactions with molecules through the matching of molecular vibrations, also known as the principle of resonance.

By modulating the laser platform at frequencies that match the vibrational modes of molecules, this can modify the shape, structure, and function of molecules in ways that have thus far been unprecedented.

Dr. Ovokaitys’s Qi laser technology platform has the potential to stimulate the cellular regeneration pathways.

BENEFITS OF using the patient's own cells

The key benefit of using the patient’s own cells is that there is no possibility of rejection from the patient’s body, and there is a very low possibility for an adverse reaction. In fact, there has not been one reported adverse reaction to this procedure.

Another key benefit is that there is no down time. Patients can resume physical activity the same day of treatment and generally have no restrictions thereafter.

The pain expected with this treatment is associated with starting an IV (one needle). It is also minimally invasive, which leads to an extremely low risk of infection.

Results of this treatment can also improve over time. Typically, the “VSELS” will find their new jobs or purposes within a few weeks. Patients can expect increasing improvement in the treated areas for up to 6 months.

WHO SHOULD Consider the QI Procedure?

Due to the low risks associated with this treatment, almost everyone is a candidate for the general anti-aging protocol. If you are looking to target a specific area, please contact our office to speak about the possibility of doing so.

Preliminary research is showing that this procedure may also have anti-aging effects by showing reductions in intrinsic and extrinsic age-related factors. These effects are being documented through epigenetic testing.

  • Cellular rejuvenation
  • Promotes tissue regeneration
  • May have anti-aging effects
  • And more…

Are there side effects?

The most common side effect is fatigue. 10-20% of people experience an increased need for rest for about a week, as the body is in a state of rest and repair.

Others will actually feel more energized after the procedure.

Procedure takes approximately 90 minutes.

FAQ

IV therapy delivers vital nutrients directly into the bloodstream. Bypassing the digestive system allows for 100% absorption, maximum effectiveness and minimal waste.

It is always best to come well hydrated. You may eat and drink prior to your infusion.

You may have some bruising at the injection site, or feel a “cold” sensation with any of the  infusions, however this is normal.

After PC therapy some have experienced loose stools.

During NAD treatment you may feel nauseous, have a headache or feel flushed, however that can subside as we slow down the delivery of the infusion, and will dissipate when your treatment is over.

Please call our office if you are on blood thinners and you are interested in doing the PC IV, or if you’ve recently had chemotherapy treatment.

One of Dr. Shippy’s trained registered nurses will administer your IV and monitor you to ensure you are comfortable throughout the process.

Our nurses are skilled in working with difficult veins. We provide electrolytes and minerals that have a positive effect.

PC IV therapy can take 30 minutes – 1.5 hours. Vitamin shots are quick 15 minute appointments.

NAD IV Therapy can take anywhere from 2-5 hours, depending on how your body responds.

Feel free to bring your laptop or a book while receiving your IV therapy. Dr. Shippy provides an assortment of healthy snacks.

Dr. Shippy has transformed offices in her medical clinic into IV rooms, equipped with comfortable zero-gravity reclining and massaging chairs. Feel free to rest or work during your treatment.

You must be 18 years of age or older to receive treatment, unless you are an established patient of Dr. Shippy.
